Lauren St John grew up surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, a warthog and a pet giraffe on a farm and game reserve in Zimbabwe, the inspiration for her bestselling 'One Dollar Horse', 'White Giraffe', 'Laura Marlin' and 'Kat Wolfe Mystery' series.

'The Glory', a Young Adult novel about an endurance horse race across the American West, was optioned for film. 'Wave Riders', her new standalone mystery, will be published in June 2021.

Lauren is not only a Patron of Mane Chance but also an Ambassador for the Born Free Foundation and the founder of Authors4Oceans, a coalition of children’s authors campaigning on plastic pollution and other marine conservation issues.
