Would you consider leaving a legacy to Mane Chance?

It is never easy to think about what will happen after your passing and a will is a hugely personal document.

When deciding to make a will or change/add to an existing one, there is a lot to think through. At Mane Chance, we understand that everyone has a number of responsibilities to consider, but when you are making those decisions, we would be very grateful if you would consider us too. 

If you are a supporter of horses and our work to rescue and rehabilitate our animals back into the community, it would be a wonderful way to ensure that your love of these most wonderful creatures will continue long after you have passed.  By including us in your will, you will help to safeguard the future of our animals and their home, as well as enabling us to bring huge respite and joy to the many visitors that come to spend time with them.

How to leave us a legacy

If you choose to include Mane Chance when writing your will, you will first need to decide the type of legacy that you wish to leave.  This can be one of a few options:

• A specific legacy consisting of a specific item of personal property
• A pecuniary legacy consisting of a specified sum of money
• A residuary bequest consisting of the residue of your estate, or a share of the residue, after your debts have been settled and any legacies you leave to other people have been paid. 

The residuary type of bequest is generally of the greatest benefit to a charity as its value increases in line with inflation.

If you have already written a will and would like to change it to add Mane Chance as a beneficiary, a bequest to us may be added by way of a Codicil.
